Natural Hamster Haul!
Let’s face it, there’s nothing natural about the fact that I live in Southern California wirh four hamsters living in many plastic bins all around my apartment.
There’s nothing natural about hamsters running on hamster wheels.
...And I’m pretty sure hamsters do not naturally come in contact with coconuts 🌴 .
Just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s healthy (for example, cotton fiber is quite dangerous for hamsters to use as bedding material).
The point of saying all this is- whether you are using natural or man made hamster products, the important part is to make sure they are safe for your hamster. Read reviews, Hamster Forums or ask the hamsterGram community!
I decided to buy some (researched & safe!) natural products primarily to give my hamsters new textures and shapes to interact with. Natural products like cork rounds, coconut hides and other wooden items give my hams new stimulation and enrichment.
I really loved all the items I bought and highly recommend! All of my hamsters seem to enjoy these products (in fact, Laverne is asleep in one of the cork rounds as I write this!). They are also very cost effective!
